Reverto - into the Silicon Doorway

Narrator: aur antt me jeet hmesha sachhayi ki hoti hai, pyar ki hoti hai. We hope you liked the play. Thank you and have a very good night.
Scene1
[Dr. asthana, dr. shasha and dr. sona sitting together in the laboratory, while shasha is on verge of emotional breakdown.]
Asthana: you did it doctor, you did it. You changed the past.
Sona: yes, shasha. Ab to tumhe khush hona chahiye, do you know ye kya kiya hai tumne, its the biggest scientific breakthrough.
Shasha: hmm.. yahi to chahti thi main, finally this has happened. ye sab ap logo ne kiya hai, ap nahi hote to ye nahi ho pata. Thank you, thank you very much.
Asthana: oh, come on it was all your research shasha. Congratulations.
Shasha: congrats to you too doctor.
Sona: and I am wondering is it the right time to say this or not?
Asthana: say what sona?
Sona: this calls for a partyyy..
Scene2
[dad2, mom2, shasha1, shasha2. both shasha in sync-drawing room]
Mom: shasha. Come here. Ab tak gussa ho. Sorry beta. Dekho main tuhare liye new doll layi hoon.
Shasha: muje nahi chahiye.
Mom: why?? Dekho kitni pretty hai. Lo.
Shasha: muje nahi chahiye mom. Aj ap koi kaam nahi hai!! busy nahi hai ap dono!!
Dad: shasha. Aise nahi bolte. We are sorry beta. I know hum tumhe zyada time nahi de paate, and you feel alone. But I am sure ab aisa nahi hoga. Sorry.
Shasha: no need of sorry dad. Har baar aisa hi hota hai. (phone rings) lijiye apka phone aa gya. (mom hangs up the call) I am leaving mom. Bye.
[ shasha leaves but come back having a realisation of guilt.]
[Both shasha`s together]
Shasha: I am sorry mom. Dad. But.
Mom: koi baat nahi beta. Lets forget all this. Thik hai. And be happy now...
Shasha: sorry dad.
Dad: hmm.(hugs) chalo aj tumhe zoo leke chalta hoon. Thik hai. what say darling?
Mom: alright. Aur jab tak ap log aate ho, main shasha ke liye yummie sa gajar ka halwa ready karti hoon. ok shasha.
Shasha: ok mom.
Scene3
Asthana: I know its not a ordinary glass shasha but ultimately its a glass. Silicon soda lime. Sio2... and tumhara vo chamkila patthar.
Shasha: not a chamkila patthar doctor. Its a vary rare precious element. Meri 23 years ki mehnat lagi hai is mirror ko bnane me.
Asthana: I know , I know. but portal kholne ke liye important hai ki ye tumhara mirror shatter na ho jaye.
Shasha: yup (thinks)
Sona: dr. being a brittle element ye break to hoga hi. Jab tak ki iska state solid hai.
Asthana: alright. Correct. Aur agar iska state hum change kr de yani solid se semi solid. Good sona. Silicon ka melting point hota hai 1500 degree Celsius. To agar hum ise 1000 degrees tak heat kare to ye ek semi solid film jaisa ban jayega.
Shasha: but fir bhi if we strike anything in that film too, vo fir bhi shatter to hogi hi. Portal nahi khulega.
Asthana: hmm to kya kiya jaye ab. (thinks) oh yes.. dr sona you remember last year ap germany me proton accelerator pr lecture de rahe the on booming velocity.

[Performs the experiment]

[All shouts out together]
Sona: Time for testing.

[shasha Enters the portal]
Scene4
[dad2, mom2, shasha1 -drawing room]

Scene5
[ doctors and mr. dhiman with his secretary goyal ]
goyal: sir apko pehle hi do bar reject kr chuke hai doctor saab. This quotation is not possible. Sorry lijiye apni file.
Asthana: dekhiye mr. dhiman I know pichli baar kuchh chize uppar niche ho gayi thi par Is baar am pretty sure ki ye research work karna hi karna hai. Its all done on papers.
Shasha: please sir, believe in us. Is experiment se apki company will earn double in a span of fort nights. Apke liye ye sirf ek experiment hai, par mere liye.. its my life long dream. Please sir.
Dhiman: dekhiye madam. Apke sapno se mera aur meri company ka koi matlab nahi hai. Mera to paisa doob jayega na agar ye work nahi kiya to. Aur apka ye experiment hai kya. It's all bullshit. Possible hi nahi hai.
Sona: kaun kehta hai possible nahi hai. Research work aur blue prints dekhe bhi hai apne. Ye dekhiye. Aur ye btaiye ab, boliye. Ek saal. Sirf ek saal sir. Please. Bharosa kijiye.
[dhiman walks out with secretary]
Asthana: sir, sir.
Sona: shit.
Shasha: now what.
[goyal comes in]
Goyal: dr. asthana. (Gives a cheque). Shuru kijiye apna experiment.
Scene6
Mom setting up the furniture and dad is writing. Little Shasha wants them to play with her but they both are busy in their work like always. Shasha asks dad to take her to the zoo but he denies. shasha shouts and leaves to her room.
Scene7
[ asthana and shasha in the laboratory ]
Shasha: so that is why I always wanted ki main aisa ek portal khol pau aur jo kuchh hua usko phir se thik kar saku, isiliye I worked hard and made this special mirror. glass fiber made up with the element I discovered in argentina. May be with your guidance I can fulfil my destiny.
Asthana: hmm story to thik hai. Tumhara experiment work bhi kar sakta hai, par aise research ke liye paise kahan se aayenge. Konsa investor past me jaane ke liye paise dega humein. (Silence)
Chalo main dekhta hoon kuch.
Shasha: oh thank you sir. Thank you very very much.
Asthana: hmm ye jo element tumne discover kiya hai uska naam kuchh soch rkha hai.

Narrator: good evening and welcome everyone. Ye play jo apke samne aane vala hai, reverto, ek shaant si ladki ki kahani hai. Shasha. Jo past me jaana chahti hai, apni family ke pas. Aur jo galtiya huyi unhe thik karna chahti hai. So this story is about ambition. About dreams. About science, but most importantly about the love for your family. Aaiye dekhte hain.
